Roller Hockey
Benfica plays against Valongo (Thursday, at 5:00 pm) in the beginning of the Roller Hockey Elite Cup.
04 October 2017, 11h08
Benfica begins its participation in the Elite Cup this Thrusday, October 5th, at 5:00 pm, at Pavilhão Municipal Mário Mexia. A competition that counts with the eight best teams of the National Championship and where the "reds" face AD Valongo in the opening game.
Pedro Nunes says that the team has been working well and is ready to bring the trophy home.
“The team has evolved satisfactorily, we came from a very well structured training week. The team has given an excellent response, not only in training but also in the friendly matches we have done. It’s a team that maintains its backbone, reinforced with the return of Pedro Henriques and with the inclusion of Miguel Vieira. A team that maintains its structure, but that renews its ambition, its attitude, with the commitment of entering all competitions to win, that is our objective ", assured the Benfica’s coach to BTV.
About the first opponent in the Elite Cup tournament, Pedro Nunes is expecting difficulties and a competitive match.
“A always difficult opponent, which keeps its basis, reinforcing the team with two good players, a midfielder and forward. An always combative team, fierce, quick in the moves and actions. I think it’s going to be disputed event and it will be another step in our preparation for the sporting season which starts on October 21st”, he said.
