Juan Mata leaves some compliments to the eagles, but he is optimistic.
16 October 2017, 19h43
Juan Mata, midfielder of Manchester United, the next opponent of Benfica in the Champions League, left a post on his personal blog, talking about Wednesday's match, at 19h45, in Estádio da Luz.
The Spanish assures that the “team is concentrated in the Champions” after the clash against Liverpool. Mata referred that United wants to “go on with the good start” in the Champions League, where they won "six precious points".
The player has played against Benfica in the European competitions, when playing at Chelsea, and remembered those moments: “Benfica brings me good memories. I played with them in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and, one year later, in the Europa League Final, at the Amsterdam Arena".
Nevertheless, Benfica and its supporters deserve his compliments: “It's a team with many good players and a crowd which supports a lot"; "Benfica needs points. We have to give our best in order to achieve a positive result".
