Benfica's basketball team made his debut in the FIBA Europe Cup and got a win over the Lithuanian team of BC Nevezis by 88-83. On Wednesday, October 25th, the reds travel to Denmark to face Bakken Bears, in a game from Matchday 2 of Group B.
“Is a very fast team, by the videos we have been analyzing, that likes to run, that has quick and athletic players who can cause us some difficulties. But we have been working well, the intensity we have been putting in the training sessions have helped us in any type o match we had so far”, said Carlos Andrade to BTV.
In the opening round, Bakken Bears lost in Russia against Avtodor Saratov by 76-73. Benfica's group is composed by the Danish side of the Bakken Bears, Avtodor Saratov e from Russia and BC Nevezis from Lithuania.
“We are aware we have a great group, we are working well, we know we still have a long way to go and that the motivation: Know that our unexplored potential is in our hands. That what we have been doing every week to reap the rewards. We are going to Denmark with that intention”, assured the player.
The match is scheduled for 5:30 pm, at the Vejlby-Risskov Pavilion.
