Fernando Santos: “Congratulations for what he has been doing over these 14 years”

In the space of a week, was celebrated the 14th anniversary of Estádio da Luz (October 25^th) and Luís Filipe Vieira's 14 years of presidency (October 31^st), who is on his fifth consecutive mandate.

Fernando Santos, Portugal National coach, remembered the moments lived recently at the new Cathedral and highlighted the  work of the as president of Benfica.

“It is a stadium where,  a short time ago, all of us, Portuguese people, lived an important moment, with another victory from the National team that confirmed our presence in the 2018 World Cup and so it is important for us to mark this date" said Fernando Santos, to BTV, remembering the moment in which Portugal beat Switzerland by 2-0.

“At the same time, it is being celebrated the 14 years of Luís Filipe Vieira as president of Benfica. I want to congratulate him for what he has been doing over these years as president, in the several areas and infrastructures, and at the youth training level. He has achieved very good things and I can only congratulate him on his work”, stated Fernando Santos.
