The author of Benfica's second goal in the triumph at Guimarães (1-3), the Greek says he feels as comfortable playing in number 8 position as in the number 6 position.
05 November 2017, 20h39
The first player to jump from Benfica's bench (he replaced Pizzi at 64’), Samaris occupied the number 8 position and scored the second goal from the Four-time Champions at Guimarães. It was the first goal from the Greek in the current edition of Liga NOS.
“The intention when I came on was to hold the result, because we wanted to win the match. In the position the gaffer put me, I had to do a different role from what I usually do and I was able to score a goal in a good play. We are very happy for having won this match”, assumed Samaris in the flash interview.
After what happened on the pitch of Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, Benfica's number 7 was asked about the position in which I feel "more comfortable".
The international commitments from the different national team now force the Liga NOS to stop. Samaris think that it is a break "good for every team”.
