Cervi: “To keep winning and follow this path”

Benfica beat V. Setúbal, by 2-0, and carries on in the Portuguese Cup. Franco Cervi is largely responsible, he opened the scoring and made the assist for the second, scored by Krovinovic. 

“We entered the game on the front foot, we had more ball possession. We opened the scoring, which gave us confidence. We had other goal chances, but the second goal came in the second half. We are happy for the win”, he said. 

Back in the starting line-up, the number 22 shirt stressed that he just took the opportunity he was given.

“I had the opportunity to play and I tried to seize it. I'm happy for the goal, but even more for the win, which was the most important”, he considered. 

Benfica has been alternating the formation between the 4x4x2 and the 4x3x3, but for Cervi the important is to win.

“Things are going well. Regardless of playing in 4x4x2 or 4x3x3, the important is to do things right and win”, he said. 

It's coming a demanding cycle with several important matches in few days. For the Argentinian there is only a path: to continue this winning streak.

“We have to be focused. Games will come thick and fast. We want to keep winning and follow this path”, he said.
