By mutual agreement, Benfica and the goalkeeper Júlio César have agreed today, November 28th, the termination of the contract that would run until the end of the 2017/18 season.

With a lot of emotion, the "Imperador" said goodbye to his teammates and now wishes the best success to the Club and to all with whom he shared more than three years of his life, experiences and achievements at Benfica.

Preparing for a new clash

Benfica's professional football team began preparations for their clash with Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 pm continental time) at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2025 Club World Cup with a two 30-minute halves training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1, with goals from Gonçalo Oliveira and Belotti.
