Benfica's volleyball team went through to the Round of 32 of the Challenge Cup where they will face the Austrian team of UVC Holding Graz. In Romania, against Zalau, the eagles were superior and won by 2-3.

In the next round, the eagles will start by playing at Luz; the second leg will be in Austria.

An enriching visit

Ruy Castelo Branco, director of the Benfica Residential Academy, and Adriano Laaber, coach of the Benfica Residential Academy women's team, visited the Benfica Campus on Tuesday, May 20, where they had the opportunity to follow the daily activities. "The main objective of the academy is to develop the athlete with the Benfica methodology and combine the academic part with the athletic part," Ruy Castelo Branco told BTV. “Feeling and experiencing this on a daily basis, especially the energy of the Benfica Campus, is enriching,” he said, noting that the goal is to continue cementing the Club's values in the United States.
