Jonas has needed a little over three years to reach (and surpass!) a 100 goals with the jersey of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The Brazilian forward has chosen the best five. See which are the goals...

  • Goal 1: BENFICA-P. Ferreira (4-0), September 26th, 2014
  • Goal 2: BENFICA-Nacional (3-1), April 4th, 2015
  • Goal 3: BENFICA-Braga (3-1), August 9th, 2017
  • Goal 4: BENFICA-Arouca (4-0), October 5th, 2015
  • Goal 5: BENFICA-V. Setúbal (6-0), November 26th, 2017

On September 26th, 2014, Jonas made his debut for the reds, in the home matches against  Arouca (4-0) and he scored the fourth and last goal of Benfica. After a cross from Ola John, with his left foot, from outside the penalty area, Jonas scored his first goal.

From that day until last November 26th, he scored another 100 goals.

He is the second-best foreigner goal scorer (behind Óscar Cardozo) in the history of the Club.

Day 1 of a new journey

The 2025/26 preseason officially kicked off on Monday, July 14, with medical checks and physical tests between Hospital da Luz and Benfica Campus. In an atmosphere of reunions, renewed energy, and focus on what comes next, 28 players are present on this first day of work of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Preparation will intensify on Tuesday, July 15, with the first pre-season training session scheduled for the morning, followed by another session in the afternoon at Benfica Campus.
