100 matches of Fejsa and Raúl; 500 matches of Luisão
They are three names of the squad led by Rui Vitória and important players on the road towards the fifth consecutive league title. Throughout 2017, Fejsa and Raúl Jiménez have reached 100 games with an eagle upon their chest (the Serbian has 114), but they are still very far from the captain, Luisão. The centre-back has reached the milestone of 500 matches with the Club (he has 536) and "threatens" Nené as the player with the most appearances in the history of Benfica.
11 years of Caixa Futebol Campus
The training center, in Seixal, is the place where the talent for the football team is nurtured. Equipped with the best conditions in terms of the technology and infrastructures, Benfica has the future assured with Caixa Futebol Campus.
The farewell of the Emperor Júlio César
The Brazilian goalkeeper with several titles arrived at Luz in 2014/15 and quickly won a place in the red's goal. 83 matches and eight trophies later, Júlio César said goodbye to the Club in tears.
The best of Liga NOS 2016/17
In a season dominated by Benfica (won the Championship and the Portuguese Cup), Pizzi (Best Player), Rui Vitória (Best Coach), Nélson Semedo (Revelation Player) and Ederson (Best Goalkeeper) were the standout performers in individual terms.
Fifth consecutive league title of the women's roller hockey
The Club is also successful in the other sports. The women's roller hockey team continues its path of titles and success: in 2016/17, they won the fifth league title in a row.
Famous people wear Benfica
As a global brand, Benfica reaches the four corners of the globe. James Harden, Carl Cox, Sin Cara, several surfers (Tiago “Saca” Pires, Matt Wilkinson, Ian Gouveia and Miguel Pupo), Madonna and her children (Stella and Estere) are some examples of famous people who wear Benfica.
The Intercontinental Cup of the roller hockey
In Spain, the roller hockey team brought the second Intercontinental Cup of the Club's history to the Benfica Museum Cosme Damião. Against Reus, in the final, Pedro Nunes' men were superior and won by 5-3.
Basketball national champions
It was in sold out Pavilhão Fidelidade, on July 9th, that Benfica beat FC Porto (87-57) and became National Champions for the 27th time in its history.

With 12 victories in the 14 matches of the Champion’s round, Benfica won the title in the women’s futsal. In the last match, the eagles beat Golpilheira, at Luz, by 11-0, and raised the Cup.
Treble
The V. Guimarães was the Treble’s victim! On May 13th, just like Volleyball, the Football team was also a champion. The unique Tetra (four consecutive championships) was being celebrated with a 5-0 result at Luz; a few days later, at Jamor, the eagles conquered another Portuguese Cup for its Honors; at the beginning of August, in Aveiro, the Cândido de Oliveira was coming.
