Tayla is the most recent new signing from the women's football team of Benfica for the current season.

Used to big stages, the most recent player of Benfica, winner of a Copa América for the Brazilian national team, was very pleased to have signed for the red squad.

"I am very happy to be at Benfica, it is a huge club, very well known in Brazil and in the whole world no Brasil. I hope to help the team and want to be part of this greatness that is the Club", she highlighted in statements with BTV.

Benfica has secured the signing of a player for the defensive sector who throughout his career has been showing all her potential.

"I am Tayla, I am a centre-back and I am here to dedicate myself to the fullest. The Benfica fans are well known by the magnitude of the Club, but the passion and I'm here to be part of all this", she finished.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
