He opened the scoring in the night in which he scored his first goal playing for Benfica. After the win over Sporting (2-1), Gabriel was “happy to have helped with a goal”, but he preferred to highlight the collective.
“The collective result is always the most important thing, no doubt. I am very happy to have helped the team with a goal and I hope to continue helping in the best possible way”, he highlighted in the flash interview.
“There were two matches [between Benfica and Sporting] in a short time, it makes things even more difficult. Both teams are too fresh to know what the opponent has planned, but we were able to overcome the difficulties on the pitch and have the upper hand over to Sporting. We were closer to scoring the 3-0 than them from scoring the 2-1, but it was positive and we will think about the next match right away”, claimed the Brazilian midfielder.
