The women's football squad of Sport Lisboa e Benfica was, this Friday afternoon, on the pitch of Estádio da Luz. Not to play but with the purpose to take the 2018/19 season official photo.

Players, coaching staff, staff, President and vice-president, all together on the cathedral’s pitch in order to register the moment with the first women’s football squad ever of SL Benfica.An "important moment" which will go down in history and in the memory of all the footballers.

“It was a very good moment. I’m proud of the team and of what we might become. The love for this jersey push us to the limit so that we can do better and better”, said the midfielder Jassie Vasconcelos, to BTV.

“An unique moment and very gratifying, even more for us who come from other country. It is amazing to be on this pitch and it was fantastic to count on the president’s support”, confessed Ana Alice.

Needing just one point to celebrate, Benfica's U19 team became champions after a 2-2 draw against FC Porto in round 13 of the championship round, and lifted the trophy on the pitch, celebrating afterward with the fans who were tireless in their support for Luís Araújo's team.
