The Portuguese Football Federation has created the Revelation Cup, the second U-23 competition that will start in the current season.

This new competition is aimed at clubs participating in the Liga Revelação and is intended to allow players (up to 23 years of age) to have more opportunities to compete.

The Revelation Cup is played by the six teams who have qualified for the U-23 Championship round (SL Benfica, Rio Ave FC, Estoril Praia, Sporting CP, CD Aves and SC Braga) and the first two places in the relegation round.

In 2018/19, the eight qualified teams compete for the Revelation Cup on May 4, 7 and 11, in knockout matches.

The championship/relegation rounds of the Liga Revelação start on February 23 and end on May 1.
