Rafa breaking records at Benfica

Full steam ahead, the way he likes to show his football on the pitch, Rafa is improving his best stats at Benfica in the 2018/19 season and breaking personal records, with goals an many other actions.

The goal scored at minute 19 in the home game against Chaves, in Round 23 of Liga NOS, started the 8th win in a row for the team in the competition (4-0) and led to his 12th goal of the season – the 8th in the Championship.

Nacional, Aves and Chaves were the last teams defeated by Benfica in this long race that is the National Championship, but from those three matches stands out another important aspect about Rafa: the Portuguese international scored in each one of the matches, achieving, this way, an unique record of three consecutive matches with goals.

With 17 presences in the current edition of the Championship, Rafa counts already with 1132 minutes.When adding all competitions (30 matches), we conclude that the player has 1879 minutes in 2018/19, exceeding the 1808 minutes of 2016/17 which were his best record with the red jersey.
