Mickell Gladness is a new signing

Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has signed the basketball player Mickell Gladness. To BTV, the 2.11-meter tall center promised hard work with an eagle on his chest.

The new face of the Basketball squad is 32 years old and has a vast international experience, including a short spell in the NBA playing for the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors. Before having the opportunity to play in the major American Basketball League, Gladness gave his first steps as a professional player in The Netherlands. China, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Argentina, Estonia, Spain, and Italy were the other countries in which he has played.

Coming from the Italians of Pistoia Basket, the athlete will play as a center and revealed knowledge about the club and Lisbon.

“It is best known for the football team, but I have already noticed that it has a very professional structure. A club with a lot of history and full of winners. I also heard a lot of good things about the city, a large variety of thing to do and a high quality of life too. That is very important for me and for my family, who will be also here with me” started by saying Mickell Gladness to BTV.

At 2.11 meters high, Gladness promised dedication and fighting spirit under the hoops.

“I work hard, I am always full of energy. I am a blocker and I always try to help my teammates under the hoop, that been marking my career”, he finished.
