On behalf of Benfica's professional football squad, Jonas, Gabriel and Odysseas gave voice to the support message for the women's football, that will play the Portuguese Cup final at 3:00 pm on Saturday, at Estádio do Jamor.

Jonas remembered that the players coached by João Marques are not alone in this fight to win the Portuguese Cup. “I want to wish good luck for the match. Bring the cup because we are all cheering for you. A big hug”, claimed Pistolas.

Gabriel and Odysseas also shared words of support and incentive to the players from Benfica's women's football.

“I want to support the women's football, may they win the trophy so we come out with all the joy we deserve”, said Gabriel.

“Good luck for Saturday. Bring the Cup home!”, claimed the goalkeeper Odysseas.

Vertonghen "very happy" for the 50 matches with an eagle on his chest

Jan Vertonghen was a starter in the center of Benfica's defense in the game from matchday 6 of the Liga Bwin against Boavista at Estádio da Luz on September 20 and he reached a milestone in his career with the Sacred Mantle. "I am very happy for the 50 matches with an eagle on my chest!", share the Belgian international in Portuguese.


Diogo Gonçalves makes 50 appearances in the first team

Diogo Gonçalves featured in Benfica's starting eleven against Boavista, in a match held at Estádio da Luz, for matchday 6 of the Liga Bwin. In a game in which he reached 50 matches for the eagles first team, he provided the assist  for Darwin's goal, which opened the scoring in the 3-1 triumph. "I am very happy to have completed 50 games for Benfica's first team. May 50 more come, together with all of you! Thanks for the support", shared the defender, addressing the Benfiquistas.
