The third goal of Benfica's women's football team in their debut season has been achieved. After winning the Portuguese Cup and securing promotion to the top flight, the reds clinched a scoreless draw against SC Braga B this Sunday, sealing the 2nd Division national title.


It was with a nine goal lead (after the 0-9 win in the 1st leg of the final) that Benfica stepped onto the pitch of Estádio da Tapadinha.

Before the kick-off, opportunity to pay tribute to Rilany Silva, who at the age of 32 put an end to his career as a footballer on Sunday.


Benfica's starting XI: Dani Neuhaus, Daiane Rodrigues, Sílvia Rebelo, Raquel Infante, Yasmim Ribeiro, Pauleta, Patrícia Llanos (71' Carlota Cristo), Ana Vitória (31' Andreia Faria), Diva Meira (31' Rilany Silva), Evy Pereira and Darlene. 

Unused substitutes: Catarina Bajanca, Pipa, Inês Queiroga and Tita.
