The Brazilian women's football national team, with the benfiquistas Geyse and Tayla among the option, ended its participation in the World Cup after losing against France (2-1 after extra-time) in the competition's round of 16.

Tayla was not used by the Brazilian national coach, but Geyse came on in the beginning of extra-time to replace Cristiane.
