U-19 Euro: eagles are in majority in the National Team


Seven Benfica players are called up to represent Portugal in the 2019 European Championships.

Benfica is the most represented club in the U-19 football national team call-up, bearing in mind the participation in the European Championship, that will take place in Armenia between July 14 and 27.

Celton Biai, Gonçalo Loureiro, Tomás Tavares, Umaro Embaló, Diogo Capitão, Gonçalo Ramos and Pedro Ganchas were the seven benfiquistas chosen by the national coach Filipe Ramos among the 23 players present in the call-up.

The Portuguese national team, the current trophy holder, will be in Group A, where it will face Italy (July 14), Spain (July 17) and Armenia (July 20).

The first two teams from each group go through to the semifinals, scheduled for July 24. The final will take place on June 27.
