Welcome, Caio Lucas!

Caio Lucas, 25 years old, strengthens Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2023. The Brazilian, who played at Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates, arrives at Luz with "a lot of will and determination", and wants to win titles with an eagle on his chest.  

“It's great to be here. I have a lot of expectations, a lot of will, and a lot of determination to give everything for this club.”, he started by saying in statements with BTV.

After Brazil, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, comes the experience in Europe, an opportunity that he intends to “grab with both hands”.

“It's my first experience in Europe. I will try to grab it with both hands in order to do my best and be champion for Benfica, which is the biggest club in Portugal”, he claimed.

Ambitious, the winger wants to go down in the centennial history of Sport Lisboa e Benfica.   

“I've come to win titles, help the team and I want to be part of this beautiful history”, he said. 

Through BTV he introduced himself to the Benfiquistas. Pace, goals and determination are some of the characteristic to have in mind.  

“I'm a player with great pace. I try to score goals and help my teammates by providing assists. You can be sure that willingness and determination won't be missing”, he assured.

Estádio da Luz is known for its fervent atmosphere of support to the team. Caio Lucas has heard about it and is looking forward to experiencing its atmosphere first hand.

“I've heard about it [Inferno da Luz].  I hope to be able to adapt as quickly as possible to feel all this emotion”, he wished.
