After Rúben Dias' Portugal and Salvio's Argentina have fallen in the Eighth-finals, this Tuesday, it was Switzerland from Seferovic's turn to be eliminated from the competition.

Zivkovic's Serbia and Ebuehi's Nigeria remained in the group stage of the 2018 Russia World Cup.

The only team, still in the competition, who had an eagle in its roster was defeated by Sweden (1-0), in Saint Petersburg. Despite all the efforts, the Swiss team was not able to beat the Swedish, bidding farewell to the 2018 World Cup.

Preparing for a new clash

Benfica's professional football team began preparations for their clash with Auckland City on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon (5:00 pm continental time) at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, on matchday 2 of Group C of the 2025 Club World Cup with a two 30-minute halves training match against FC Naples on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles won 2-1, with goals from Gonçalo Oliveira and Belotti.
