Filip Krovinovic injured himself on January 20th against GD Chaves, at Estádio da Luz. From that moment on, the Croatian player began the recovery work that is now entering the last stage. In Saturday's open training session, the midfielder stepped up into the pitch, he jogged and was cheered by the nearly 20 thousand Benfiquistas who were in the stands.

Speaking to BTV, Krovinovic told how the recovery is going and reassured the supporters.

“I entered the last month of recovery. On July 6, five months have passed since the surgery. It is all going well, all according to plan”, he assumed.

Going back on time, the Croatian player remembered what he felt after acknowledging the severity of the injury.

“When it happened, I was not very sad. When the knee cracked, I thought: ‘I am in trouble’. Now I must become stronger physiologically and come back even stronger. So, I was not very sad. When I realized what had happened, I said: ‘ok’. Now I have to work to come back better”, he stated.

“You learn a lot with a serious injury, being six months sidelined. You become better, stronger physiologically. My day is to wake up, go to the Club… when I had the crutches,  I could not go anywhere, I would stay at home. But that is already in the past and now I have a normal live”, he completed.

Ahead of the last month of the injury recovery, the midfielder shared what will be harder for him to overcome in this stage.

This last month will be hard for me because I will not be on the pitch, I will see my friend play and train. This is the only thing that will be hard for me. And of course, to be in the stands seeing them play”, he said.
