The pre-season is a period of tests and adjustments. In Santarém, Benfica B faced CD Nacional in a training match this Wednesday and drew 1-1 against the newly-promoted team to the Portuguese top tier.

Bruno Lage, the coach of the Eagles’ B team, fielded the following starting eleven: Ivan Zlobin, Alex Pinto, David Zec, Ferro, Pedro Amaral, Guga, Ilija Vukotic, Tiago Dantas, Chris Willock, Ivan Saponjic and Daniel dos Anjos.

Also played: Fábio Duarte, Simón Ramírez, Gonçalo Loureiro, Pedro Álvaro, Nuno Tavares, Bernardo Dias, Diogo Mendes, Martin Chrien, Edi Semedo, Rodrigo Conceição and Anthony Carter.

The first goal of the encounter was scored by Daniel dos Anjos at 11'. Nacional got the equalizer at 90'.
