Benfica starts the participation at the International Champions Cup on July 26..

On Friday, Benfica heads to Zurich (Switzerland) to face Sevilla before starting the participation in the 2018 ICC (USA).
On July 22, the Reds cross the Atlantic, with the United States as the destination, where they face two old acquaintances from the European competitions
On July 25, the first match of the International Champions Cup. Rui Vitória’s squad will lock horns with Borússia Dortmund, at the Heinz Field, in Pittsburgh, State of Pennsylvania. Three days later (July 28), they will face Juventus, at the Red Bull Arena, in Harrison, State of New Jersey.
Benfica starts the competition in the United States, but it is in Portugal that the team will end this year’s participation.
The 2018/19 Eusébio Cup (which marks the last match of the ICC) will be held on August 1 at the Estádio do Algarve. The opponent will be Lyon, in a match that aims to pay tribute to Eusébio da Silva Ferreira.
It is worth remembering that, apart from the Reds, there are confirmed more 17 teams in this year's International Champions Cup: Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, Roma, Inter, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona.
The official start of the Reconquest season took place at 9:00 on June 28, with the usual physical tests and medicals. Less than a month later, dozens of training sessions have already taken place – among which an open training session at Estádio da Luz, that was attended by nearly 7 thousand supporters – and a few matches played.
On July 10, the Eagles beat Napredak (3-0) in the start of the Sado International Tournament. The trophy ended up going to Luz, after the draw against Vitória de Setúbal (1-1) three days later.
Meanwhile, the Red team departed to St. George's Park, where it is since July 15. This Wednesday, the first friendly match took place. Behind closed doors, Benfica thrashed Swindon Town, by 5-0.
