João Filipe, the young Benfica player, shone in the U-19 National team triumph over Ukraine (0-5), with a brace and an assist, in Portugal's qualification for the final of the European Championships in Finland.

Despite the good individual performance (two goals and one assist), the 19-year-old forward, in statement to UEFA official site, remembered that the team is the most important.  

"I am happy to have scored, but first comes the team and we are very happy for going through to the final, which was our main objective ", guarantied the player on Thursday, before giving the motto for the decisive encounter against Italy.

"We want to do a good performance, like we have been doing, and will fight to win. It is the third consecutive final in three years for some players and surely we will want to win", he stressed.

The Portuguese national team will face Italy in the final, a team who beat France by 2-0, in the other semi-final. The decisive match will take place at 5:30 pm on Sunday.
