The break due to the international matches has taken eight players from Benfica, but the work at Caixa Futebol Campus does not stop. The debut in the League Cup (Allianz Cup), scheduled for next Saturday, at 6:00 pm, is being prepared on detail in Seixal.

On this Monday training session, the forward Castillo was the one to stood out, just like the midfielder Gabriel, the last summer signing for 2018/19 season, who was able to show his skills to the Rui Vitória. Jonas did a progressive reintegration work.

In this opportunity, six youngsters from the B and U23 teams were called to this training session: Vinícius FerreiraDaniel dos AnjosGonçalo Rodrigues (Guga)João FerreiraEdi Semedo and Frimpong.

On Saturday, the team starts its participation in the League Cup Group Stage (Allianz Cup), at Estádio da Luz, playing the first of three matches in a row at the Cathedral. After the home match against Rio Ave, it will be time to host Bayern Munich, (on Wednesday, at 8:00 pm, September 19, in the Champions League Day 1) and Desportivo das Aves (September 23, Sunday, at 6:30 pm, Matchday 5 of Liga NOS).

The arrival of the “internationals” (Rúben Dias, Pizzi, Gedson, Zivkovic, Seferovic, João Félix, Yuri Ribeiro and Cervi) will be concluded on Thursday, to complete the squad.
