The national coach has announced the call-up for the matches of October against Poland (Nations League) and Scotland (friendly match).
04 October 2018, 12h33
After the call-up of August 3 – when he made his debut in the Senior National Team squad list – Gedson, the midfielder of Benfica, deserved once again Fernando Santos' trust.
As a consequence of an excellent 2017/18 season, Rúben Dias was included, in March, by the national coach Fernando Santos in the batch of 23 players chosen to represent Portugal in the 2018 World Cup. Seven months later, the 20-year-old centre-back is once again an option for the national coach.
Pizzi is also once again an option. Benfica's number 21 jersey who has already scored six goals this season (two in the Champions League and four in the Liga NOS) deserved once again the trust of Fernando Santos.
The Senior National team faces Poland in Chorzow, on Oct 11, for matchday 2 of the Nations League (7:45 pm), traveling next to Scotland, where on Oct 14 it will play against the home team in Glasgow (5 pm).
