Cervi was one of the standout players in Argentina's triumph over Iraq after scoring one of the four goals from the Argentine national team in the friendly match held in Saudi Arabia Saudita.

Benfica provided two players for this call-up: Cervi and Salvio, with the two players starting the encounter against the Iraqi on the substitutes' bench.

In the second half, both were brought on. Salvio came on at 46’ to replace Rodrigo De Paul and made an assist, while Cervi came on at 60’ to replace Paredes.

It is worth highlighting that the Eagles' number 11 racked up his first cap for Argentina on September 8 against Guatemala.

After the 4-0 win over Iraq, Salvio and Cervi might amass another cap for their country on October 16, against Brazil.
