Pablo Aimar worked his magic on the pitch of Estádio da Luz for five complete seasons (2008/09-2012/13). With Benfica's number 10 jersey, the Argentinean star enjoyed unforgettable moments.

"Among the things from Estádio da Luz I remember the most, and which impressed me the most, were the first times I came on the pitch and I saw the greatness of that place. That had a huge impact on me", confessed El Mago Aimar in exclusive statements to SL Benfica's Official Site.

"To see the entire Stadium painted in red was a unique spectacle, that later, as time went by, I got used to seeing when we played at home", added the former Argentinean international.

"Another moment that created a huge memory on me: the supporters singing the anthem of Benfica. Without a doubt, at that time the clock seems to stop in time. To see all the people singing the hymn with their Club scarves is amazing", claimed Aimar.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
