Benfica with an exclusive panel in the Web Summit

The 2018 Web Summit takes place in Lisbon between November 5 and 8, at Altice Arena and at Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), and Benfica is once again present. In fact, it is the only club in the World with an exclusive panel in the 2018 edition of the Planet’s largest technology and entrepreneurship conference.

At 11:45 am on Tuesday (Nov 6), Domingos Soares de Oliveira, the CEO of the Benfica Group, approaches the subject “Could you run a football club like a startup?”, together with the president of Olympique de Marseille, Jacques-Henri Eyraud.

A 25-minute panel that will dwell on how some of Europe’s most important clubs are searching for innovation and what they can learn with the World’s largest technology companies.

On the same day, at 12:30 pm – with a 20-minute duration –, an exclusive panel from Sport Lisboa e Benfica. With the presence of Domingos Soares de Oliveira, Luisão, a former Benfica player, and Pedro Marques, the Reds’ technical director of Youth Football, it will be discussed how to manage talent in the age of technology (“Managing talent in the age of technology”). At a time when it is more difficult to develop and maintain talent in the world of sport, is technology a help or an obstacle?
