In ten rounds, no player from the defensive sector made as many assists in the competition as André Almeida.

Analyzing only the assists delivered by defenders from the Portuguese top tier, it can be observed that no one provides more assists than the benfiquista, according to the data presented by the portal Sofascore. Behind André Almeida comes another right-back: Patrick, from Santa Clara, with three assists.
Benfica's 34 began providing assists in the opening round, on August 10, against V. Guimarães. At Estádio da Luz, André Almeida assisted Pizzi to complete his brace and extend Benfica's lead to 2-0 (the match finished with a 3-2 result).
On matchday 5, Benfica hosted Desportivo das Aves and André Almeida was once again decisive. We provided the assist for the second in the second half. He made a cross towards Cervi. The Argentinean received the ball and shot with the right foot for the 2-0, the match final score.
On the last round of the Liga NOS, the number 34 provided his first assists away from home. In Tondela, André Almeida received the ball from Pizzi and made a perfect cross for Jonas' header, at 9’. It was the 1-1 at Estádio João Cardoso.
In the second half, a combination on the right flank between André Almeida, Pizzi and Jonas freed the right-back to deliver a cross towards Seferovic. The Swiss forward score with a tap-in and sealed Benfica's comeback. Benfica ended up winning the encounter by 1-3.
He is one of the most used players by Rui Vitória in the current season. André Almeida takes part, in average in the Liga NOS, in 73 actions from the team, with an efficacy of 65%. Curiously, it was against Tondela that he had greater efficacy in the actions: 79% (71 successful actions in 90), according to the platform Wyscout.
As an attacking full-back, the crosses are an item in which he stands out. In average he delivers three per match, and against Toandela they were all successful (3 in 3). He also has racked up seven successful dribbles in the 2018/19 edition of the Liga NOS.
Apart from the assists, André Almeida stands out in the passing. He carries out 50 per match (efficacy of more than 80%) and receives the ball from his teammates 35 times per game. Against Tondela he carried out 65 passes (92% efficacy) and received 47.
