There are five matches in just 17 days in the final stretch of 2018. In less than three weeks, Benfica faces five opponents in four different competitions.

The countdown starts on Wednesday (December 12) with the home match against the Greeks of AEK, in a match from the 6th and last round from Group E of the Champions League. After a victory by 2-3 in Athens, the team under Rui Vitória hosts the Greek squad at 8 pm, at Estádio da Luz.

From Europe to the Liga NOS, from Lisbon to Madeira. The Reds travel to Funchal to face Marítimo in a game from matchday 13 of the Championship. The encounter is scheduled for 5:30 pm on Sunday, December 16. The tickets are on sale.

Three days later, an unprecedented trip to Montalegre. On Dec 16 (Wednesday), at 8:45 pm, the Estádio Municipal Dr. Diogo Vaz Pereira will host the red squad for the first time in the match from the eighth-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The team coach by Rui Vitória reaches this round after beating Sertanense (0-3) and Arouca (2-1).

Benfica returns home on December 23 (Sunday) to face SC Braga in a game from matchday 14 of the Liga NOS, a match scheduled for 5:30 pm. The tickets are on sale.

The five-match cycle end on December 28, with a trip to Vila das Aves to face Desportivo das Aves. After beating Rio Ave (2-1) and Paços de Ferreira (2-0), Benfica plays matchday 3 of the League Cup (9:15 pm) needing a point to qualify for the final four, to be held in January.
