Liga NOS and 2nd Division draw restrictions revealed

Liga Portugal announced the restrictions of the the draw for the calendars of professional football championships, the so-called Kick-Off that is scheduled for 9:00 pm on Friday (July 5), at Palácio da Bolsa, in Porto.

Liga NOS

1. The second half of the competition must be a mirror of the first half;

2. The following teams cannot play simultaneously at home or away, in the same round (i.e. if on plays at home the other will have to play away):

• Benfica and Sporting
• FC Porto and Boavista
• Sp. Braga and V. Guimarães
• Gil Vicente and Famalicão

3.  To avoid, as far as possible, that the same team plays consecutively, at home or away, its matches against the five teams which, in the three previous seasons, had the highest point average:

• SL Benfica, 17,67 points
• FC Porto, 17,33 points
• Sporting, 16,00 points
• Sp. Braga, 14,67 points
• V. Guimarães, 13,00 points

4. To avoid, as far as possible, that the same team has two consecutive trips to the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and of Azores;

5. To avoid, as far as possible, that a club plays a match against a team taking part in the European competitions (Champions League or Europa League) plays the match of the immediately following matchday with a club taking part in these same competitions.

2^nd Division

1. The second half of the competition must be a mirror of the first half;

2. The two B teams in the competition (FC Porto B and Benfica B) should face in the last match of each half of the season;

3. The following teams cannot play simultaneously at home or away, in the same round (i.e. if on plays at home the other will have to play away):

• Mafra and Casa Pia

4. Due to stadium sharing:

• UD Oliveirense plays matchday 1 as the away team
