Benfica athlete achieved the best personal mark of the year in triple jump.

Unsurpassed since the first jump, Pedro Pichardo took the lead with 17,14 meters, he improved the mark in the third attempt (17,35 meters) and strengthened his position in the event in the fourth jump, with the unbeatable record of 17,53 meters.
The Portuguese Pedro Pichardo clinched the highest place of the podium (17,53), Christian Taylor (United States) finished second (17,19) and Hugues Fabrice Zango (Burkina Faso) in the third place (16,88).
The other Portuguese athlete in the event, Nelson Évora, finished in sixth place (16,37).
