Hugo da Silva Oliveira, a 14-year-old defender/midfielder (26/08/2004) is a new signing from SL Benfica. The now red athlete arrives from Rio Ave FC, a club he represented in the last three seasons.

The 14-year-old player began is sporting career at CF Trofense and last season (2018/19), at Rio Ave, he made 22 appearances and scored five goals in the Under-15 National Championship.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
