Gabriel played 90 minutes against Zenit, on matchday 2 of Group G of the Champions League. The Brazilian player regretted the defeat but assured that the group will raise their heads and get back to winning ways.

“We've slowed down compared to other games and had trouble getting into the match. We must raise our heads and carry on with the work we've been doing and in which we believe”, stressed.

The number 8 explained how Benfica tried to surprise Zenit in Saint Petersburg.

“We tried to take advantage of our wingers to get to the attack. It was not possible, and we were unable to leave this ground with a positive result”, he said.
