It is with great pride and satisfaction that Sport Lisboa e Benfica congratulates João Félix for having won the prestigious Golden Boy 2019 award.

A recognition that honors his talent, but also contributes to the strengthening of the prestige and work done in our famous Benfica Campus training academy, in Seixal, which, after seeing Renato Sanches win this award in 2016, again sees one of our young players chosen as the best player in the world by the most prestigious international award in this category.

Ready for a new Era!

All set! After the medicals and the physicals tests which marked the first two days of the 2022/23 pre-season, the football team of SL Benfica started today, Monday, a new Era. Players, coaching staff and staff, with the presence of the President Rui Costa, arrived early at Benfica Campus. The first training session takes place in the morning, with a new session at 5 pm. At 2:30 pm, the coach Roger Schmidt speaks to journalists, in the press conference room of Estádio da Luz.

Benfica's women's roller hockey team became nine-time national champions this Saturday, June 25, after beating Sporting in game 2 of the National Championship play-off final. Cata Flores scored a brace and assisted Marlene Sousa for the 3-2 score. See here the best images of the red celebration...
