Rui Pinto, the athlete from Sport Lisboa e Benfica, won the fifth time (fourth in a row) the São Silvestre da Amadora, on the evening of December 31, to end the year 2019.

The Benfica athlete completed the 10 kilometers of 45th edition of the competition in 29,44 minutes, in front of Paulo Paula (Run Tejo) and Samuel Freire (30,09 minutes), also from Benfica.

"It's incredible. Last year I was immensely happy to be able to beat the record of victories of the race, this year I am even more. I really like running here. The best athletes in our history have won here. It's very important for me to compete here and I always prepare myself in the best way and to win", admitted Rui Pinto.
