Benfica Play presented

The day has come for the presentation of Benfica Play, the exclusive content project that will unveil all the backstage and stories of the Benfica Universe.

At the launch press conference, which took place in the professional football team dressing room at Estádio da Luz (see video above), Domingos Soares de Oliveira explains all the BPlay details.

Why launch Benfica Play now?

We understand that there is an urgency in the content that connects fans with clubs. We have been looking at the content in a different way for a long time and we understood that having something absolutely exclusive was fundamental to being closer to our fans. This bet on exclusive daily content, which can have several lengths of time, is a trend already observed in several countries. We'll be the first club in Portugal to address this trend, doing it with teams that are ours. The trend in digital will be bigger and bigger. This bet was carried out by Benfica about three years ago. We began to reverse what were our internal processes and our relationship with the fans. The contents that the Benfica fans will be able to watch on Benfica Play are not the content they watch on BTV, nor on the Official Website. Benfica Play will work a lot around that which is exclusive. All of Benfica's experience will be available on this platform.

When does it start and how can fans get access to this platform?

Benfica Play starts today at 9:00 pm and the subscription will be through the Benfica Website. That's where you subscribe and then download the application, and in the first month the contents will be free.
