Bruno Lage launched, in a press conference, the Sporting-Benfica match, a derby from matchday 17 of the Liga NOS, that is scheduled for 9:15 pm this Friday at Estádio José Alvalade.
In a very tight calendar week, how has the preparation for this derby been?
We've been training, we've been analyzing our opponents' games and we've looked at what we can do.
Ferro and Gabriel will be options for the match?
They are called up for the match.
Will you be especially careful with depth control, given the last goals conceded by Benfica?
Curiously we and Sporting, because in the first goal of the “clássico” against FC Porto these problems were also visible. Each coach must be in constant evaluation and according to what we are doing at each moment in offensive and defensive terms. Depth control is often not what defenders can do, but what the forwards can do and how they can do it. Sporting is a very competent opponent. It builds up attacking plays very well. We must make a very competent game, when we don't have ball possession we must be able to press to prevent Sporting from playing. With ball possession we must play with quality, intensity and creating many goal chances.
