Contingency measures

As part of the preventive and contingency measures for the spread of COVID-19, and following recent recommendations and decisions from the Directorate General of Health, Federations and Leagues of different sports, Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol SAD and Sport Lisboa e Benfica inform that a series of extraordinary measures and actions are already being implemented, of which we highlight:

1 - Postponement of the "Benfica - António Leitão" race scheduled for April 5 for a date to be announced in due time and immediate suspension of the registrations;

2 - Closure of the pools and gymnastics complexes based at Estádio da Luz;

3 - Suspension of tours to Estádio da Luz, Benfica Museum Cosme Damião and Benfica Campus, in Seixal, for an indefinite period;

4 - Suspension of all corporate and institutional events at the Estádio da Luz facilities; 

5 - Carried out behind closed doors, according to the indications of the Liga Portugal, the upcoming SL Benfica-Tondela game for matchday 25, as well of the U-23 and B Team matches;

6 – The coach Bruno Lage will not hold this match pre and post-game conferences, and will only make statements to BTV on Friday, and in the “Flash Interview”, on Saturday, after the end of the match;

7 - Temporary suspension of all sports activity of the youth football categories, whose competitions were suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation and the Lisbon Football Association;

8 – Immediate suspension of ticket sales for all competitions and sports;             

9 – Adoption of measures which assure all the rights on eventual compensation of tickets already purchased for activities and all sports matches suspended or behind closed doors;

We also inform that, since day one, it was defined and implemented a rigorous prevention and emergency plan, aligned with all the recommendations of the good practices defined by the authorities and competent entities for all the professional universe in the most widely areas of the Club.

When duly justified we will update the disclosure on every actions, measures and current initiatives.
