Luís Filipe Vieira: "Gestures that remain in memory and define character"

The gestures are repeated because there is no way to remain indifferent! In the face of COVID-19, everything seems little and help comes from all fronts, with Sport Lisboa e Benfica putting themselves in the forefront.

"As I had the opportunity to tell the Benfica professional football working group and all the players, in particular, I am very proud of the exemplary and supportive way in which, from the outset, they have sought to unite to help those who need it most and those who are most courageously protecting us from this terrible pandemic", shared the President Luís Filipe Vieira.

"The gestures of food donation and now the large contribution made to the acquisition of various materials and medical protection equipment will remain forever in our memory, and define the character and spirit of mutual help of a group of young people of different nationalities", praised the President.

"A fair public tribute and thanks to all health professionals, young and old, who day by day, tirelessly and with great courage, save lives and motivate us all to believe that solidarity and help to others is the most valuable asset we have. The images and stories that come to us every day from your work are of immeasurable human greatness. You are so brave! My deepest thanks to you all", finished Luís Filipe Vieira.
