Sport Lisboa e Benfica has been informed by the Portuguese Rugby Federation that, by decision of the Government, it would not be possible to resume the competitions, thus ending the 2019/2020 sports season.

Considering the current state of pandemic that are a living and being Rugby a sport of permanent physical contact, Sport Lisboa e Benfica understands and will comply with the decision.
