Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that he has reached an agreement with Fábio Lima to renew the contract of the small forward, who is preparing to carry out his third season with an eagle on his chest, after the first spell at the Club's Basketball team in 2014/15.

In statements with the Official Website, the Reds' number 10 expressed his satisfaction at continuing to serve the Club.

"To represent Benfica is always a source of pride for me and for my family. I'm glad the club renewed its vote of confidence in my work", he stressed.

After several weeks away from the pavilions, the basketball resumed its activity in the Luz Sports Complex, something longed for by the athletes.

"The return to the pavilions was long-awaited, being able to work in the Club's facilities gives us another encouragement", claimed Fábio Lima.

The first training session on American soil

Newly arrived in the United States, Benfica's professional football team held its first training session on American soil on Monday, June 9, in preparation for the Club World Cup, whose debut against Boca Juniors is scheduled for 11:00 p.m. (Mainland Portugal time) on June 16 (Monday).
