The champion is back!

Benfica's men's futsal team – reigning national champions – is back! On Thursday, July 24, the team coached by Cassiano Klein began the 2025/26 preseason with physical tests and medical exams, in a day divided between Hospital da Luz, Clínica Benfica, and the gyms at Estádio da Luz. The activities will be repeated on Friday, July 25. The first training session is scheduled for Monday, July 28.

Gathered in Yerevan, Armenia, Benfica's men's futsal team is already counting down the hours to the final four of the UEFA Futsal Champions League, a competition the squad views with ambition and confidence. "We're still united, happy and confident. We're going to do our best to take the title home", said winger Arthur, at the official UEFA photo session. Forward Jacaré highlighted the "quality work" done with the European goal in mind, while goalkeeper Léo Gugiel, also to the club media, praised the team's "growth" in recent months: "We're united, we've grown, and I see the team very prepared for the final four."
