A few days away from the final of the 2019/20 Portuguese Cup, Jardel, the Benfica captain, answered a few questions for the competition's Official Match Program, from the Portuguese Football Federation. 

What does it mean to be in the Portuguese Cup final?

It means the opportunity to close the season in the best way and win again a very important trophy for Benfica. At the same time, being in this great match turns out to be the prize for the good campaign that we did in this prestigious competition.

What message would you like to leave for the fans who can't be at the stadium supporting the team?

I'd like to tell them that we players are as sorry as they are that we can't be together. We miss our fans very much in every stadium we play in, even though they're following us from their homes and cheering us on. In this final, that's what's going to happen again. We will do everything to give them great joy.
