Jorge Jesus: "We will build a great team and we will go on a rampage"

Everything that was said by new coach, who was presented at Benfica Campus, in Seixal.

The presentation ceremony of Jorge Jesus, the new coach of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica football team took place this Monday at the 360ºs space of Benfica Campus.

"I want to thank the President for believing in my work again, in my competence and my coaching staff. I believe in the President 100 percent and I believe in the project that he has for Benfica", he started by saying.

"When I was at the club, we won all competitions and all goals the were to achieve. I came to Benfica with that belief and certainty. I'm not the savior. We're all saviors, Benfiquistas, and the whole structure. We must win again with this President and all the Benfiquistas united", stressed Jorge Jesus.

You promised that Benfica would play two times better when you arrived in 2009. Do you dare to do the same? Do you or do you not need many new signings and make a great transformation in the squad?

Of course I won't say we don't have to play two times better, because if we don't play two times better, we won't win again, as it happened this season. We have all the conditions to build a very strong team. We will not play two times better, we will three times better!

There's been talk of a lot of signings for the new season. Do you have the season planned for that? Would you like to count on Cavani and players who worked with you at Flamengo?

We have been talking internally - me, the President, Rui Costa and Tiago Pinto - about what the structure of Benfica's squad is going to be. We know the targets we want, we know how far we can go and we must be aware of the players we can sign to meet Benfica's objectives. Benfica has a range of players who are at this club, and they will continue because they are very valuable. With the help of others, we will build a great team and we will crush it.
