Sport Lisboa e Benfica announces the signing of the American point guard Demond "Tweety" Carter.

"For this season, my expectations are to work hard and learn from the teammates with whom I will play. After knowing what the coach expects from me, I'll work towards being prepared to make a great season", he started by saying to the Official Website.

Demond "Tweety" Carter is 33 years old, he plays as point guard and has played in several European championships – specially France and Poland – since he became a professional in 2010. Coming from the Polish team of Start Lublin, The basketball player was enthusiastic about this opportunity at the Reds: "All the people I spoke to about Benfica were unanimous in saying great things about the Club. I look forward to learning more about Benfica when I arrive."
