Soccer school in Washington DC won the OBGC Elite Tournaments


The reds claimed 1st place in the Under-18 level, on their return to the competition.

The Benfica Soccer School in Washington DC won the OBGC Elite Tournaments in the U-18 level. The competition took place between September 4 and 7 and brought together about 250 teams of both genders between the ages of 9 and 19.

The team under Danilo Melo and Wil Ricketts finished the group stage in the top spot, the result of two wins and one draw, beating Barça Academy by 2-0 in the final.

The reds from Washington DC competed in five levels (U-14, U-15, U-16, U-18 and U-19), in a tournament that took on special importance because it marked the return to competition after the suspension period of youth competitions, demonstrating the sustained growth of the project, which currently has 120 practitioners.
